Something To Read On The Train

Something To Read On The Train

Winter nights draw us closer to the fire. Our thoughts turn to things strange, unexplained. Here are a few tales to whet your appetite.    Bluebell Hill, Kent has a famous vanishing hitch hiker. She missed her wedding and still appears on a certain stretch of road, in a wedding dress rushing out at passing motorists and demanding a lift. Then there are the hairy hands which appear on the wheel of unwitting drivers on Dartmoor roads. The hands take control of the wheel,in some cases steering people to their doom. Even ancient towns in the area have an energy which is conducive to time slips. In such places the locals seem to happily co exist alongside house spirits which are said to appear in physical form and lifelike, if a little transparent. House Spirits are another story.
